This is best suitable for if we can reach Munnar Town by Morning 10 Am and can proceed for Sightseeing without checking in the Hotel. The standard check-in time of the hotels is between 12 Noon to 2 Pm.
Places to cover on
Day 1 - Assuming arrival time in Munnar is 10 AM we can cover the following if there is a delay the mentioned sightseeing points cant be covered. - KDFC floricultural Centre, Photo Point Mattupetty Dam, Rose garden, Kundala Lake, Carmelagiri Elephant Park, Eco Point, Pothamedu View Point
Day 2 - Visit Eravikulam Sanctuary and tea Museum. The journey back to Cochin Requires 4 Hours of travel under normal road conditions
Typically One Night stay plan should be avoided and the nearest Railway station Alwaye/ Nearest Airport is 4 hours drive - the one-way journey and involves a Ghat road Journey.
If time is a real constraint and you still want to visit Munnar then kidly book an Early Flight/ train reaching Cochin Max by 6 AM in the morning so that you can reach Munnar by 10 AM.
Kindly plan the departure from Cochin after 9 PM. If this early arrival and late departure from Cochin is not possible then its ideal to plan conveniently to enjoy the beauty of Munnar.
Day 1 - Arrive in Munnar and check in the Hotel. In the afternoon you can visit the adventure park in Munnar - Dream valley or Wonder Valley parks (Both parks open by 9 Am and close by 6 PM). In the Evening visit the Punarjani Traditional Village - To watch the Kathakali and Kalaripayattu Shows. The show timings are 5 PM and at 6 Pm
Day 2 - Blossom Park, Mattupetty Dam, Rose garden, Kundala Lake, Carmelagiri Elephant Park, Photo Point, Eco Point, Pothamedu View Point
Day 3 - Visit Eravikulam Sanctuary and tea Museum and then proceed back to Cochin. The journey back to Cochin Requires 4 Hours of travel under normal road conditions
Day 1 - Arrive in Munnar and check in the Hotel. In the Evening visit the Purnajani Traditional Village - To watch the Kathakali and Kalaripayattu Shows - it is held at 5 pm and again at 6 PM. If interested you can go early to watch The Kathakali Make-up From 4:00 PM to 4:30 PM and Kerala Cultural Documentary From 4:30 till 5:00 PM. The tickets can be bought online or at the ticket counter
Day 2 - Proceed to visit Blossom Park, Mattupetty Dam, Rose garden, Kundala Lake, Carmelagiri Elephant Park, Photo Point, Eco Point, Pothamedu View Point
You have two options to choose from for Day 3
Option 1 - A Jeep safari to Kolukkumalai Tea Estate - Wolrd highest tea estate, Requires half a day time you can visit in early hours for the sunrise. In the afternoon you can visit the adventure parks in Munnar - Dream valley or Wonder Valley parks - Both parks open by 9 Am and close by 6 PM.
Option 2- Day Excursion to Marayoor - Which is a one-hour journey from Munnar and visit Sandalwood forest, Megalithic Dolmens, Rock paintings, Kunathallor - Fruit basket of Kerala
Day 4 - Visit Eravikulam Sanctuary and tea Museum and then proceed back to Cochin. The journey back to Cochin Requires 4 Hours of travel under normal road conditions
